Let's live life now.

Yes, I realize I have failed to be the most prolific blogger recently. These past few weeks have been a a whirlwind of experiences and emotions. But, now that I feel like my life is somewhat organized here in Waco, I'm ready to start blogging again.

The last weeks of my internship with Compassion were incredibly bittersweet. This summer was the most tender gift God could have ever blessed me with. I think it will take years for me to understand why He put me there and to understand the impact that it will have on my life. All I know is that, I have changed. I have completely new paradigms, perspectives, and desires.

Amber, my wonderful supervisor, and I on my last day of work. Sad day.

We're trying to be serious.

The view from our office. :) I'm going to miss this.

A few sweet friends at graduation.

The day after graduation five of the interns headed to Nicaragua to go on a Vision Trip. We spent our time in the field helping lead project activities, serving wherever needed (food, cleaning, painting). My favorite part of the trip was the home visit. We traveled to a project about an hour outside of Managua and visited one Compassion child's family. We spent time with a young girl, her brother, grandmother, and parents. They showed us their home, fed us, and shared with us about their life. I will never forget the joy and love their family expressed to each other, as well as to us.

Playing with the children was so refreshing. Children have such beautiful faith and I truly believe they are ones that will change their families and communities for Jesus. Jesus is so good. My only regret from the trip was that it was too short. :)

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the trip:

Although being back in Waco is not ideal at the moment, I have to trust that God has a purpose for me here. I do not want to wish away my senior year and miss out on all the joy He has in store for me in Texas. I pray that I will have the strength to live in the moment and use this year to give back to the younger generation at Baylor.

Life, I'm ready for you.
